Celebrating the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola

St. Stanislaus School Staff and students came together at a Eucharistic celebration to celebrate the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The main celebrant at this mass was Fr. Noel Pinto of Sneha Sadan while the other co-celebrants were Fr. Errol Fernandes, Fr. Jude Fernandes, Fr. Andrew Rodrigues and Fr. Juan. The theme of the mass was “to give and not to count the cost”

The choir sang the song of St. Ignatius of Loyola as their entrance hymn.  As usual the March of St. Ignatius- Noble Knight was belted out by the students who had been practicing it for over a week.

A poster competition on “Ideals in Action” was held class-wise and a quiz based on the life of St. Ignatius were preliminary preparations for this feast.  All students participated in it enthusiastically.

The church was decorated with posters depicting the good works of the Jesuits at the time of Restoration. The Jesuit community was felicitated with gifts.

Bros. Conrad Fonseca and Wencesl Lemos joined in the distribution of certificates to students for ‘Best Performance’.

The ex-teachers along with the Staff intermingled at a fellowship. After that the students had a Throw ball match versus the teachers. There was so much of cheering and jeering and gaining of scores. The teachers won at last!
