Jesuit Teachers Sammelan at Stanislaus

July 29,2011 was an all Mumbai Jesuit school teachers’ meet where 450 teachers  gathered with their respective principals. The prayer service conducted by Fr Andrew, SJ and team with a bhajan set the mood of the day. Fr. Francis Swamy, SJ welcomed and  explained the purpose of this meeting. The Speaker of the day, Fr Paul Coutinho, SJ spoke on the characteristics of Jesuit Education. He stressed that the goal of the Jesuit education is the pursuit of TRUTH, for the greater glory of God and for the SERVICE of humanity. It was a good practical exercise for all to digest the Vision of Jesuit Education. Fr. Jude Fernandes, SJ, the Principal of St. Stanislaus introduced all the principals of 8 Jesuit schools to the gathering.

The second half of the day was devoted for interaction through telly-games conducted by Darryl Loyola. The competitions were Rangoli, collage, card making, flower arrangement and telly-games.  There was a feeling of camaraderie and team spirit. A wonderful, fun filled evening came to an end with a vote of thanks from  Tr Anna Correa. Teachers were given mementos and each of the teachers left on a note ….Till We Meet Again.Kudos to the teachers of Stanislaus who together with Fr Andrew, worked tirelessly for the success of this event –AND FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD.
