Plant, Nurture, Save Forests !

Compere of the evening

The International Year of Forests was the theme chosen by the UN for this year and we at St. Stanislaus High School selected this as our theme for the Annual Prize Day which was held on Saturday, 27th August 2011. The programme revolved around the central theme of Shel Silverstein’s ‘The Giving Tree’. This was portrayed through a dance (choreographed by Danceworx), a choral recitation and an enactment of ‘The Giving Tree’ that brought out the message on the conservation of forests.

Concluding the act was Ken Medema’s Tree Song beautifully sung by our boys and trained by Tr. Yvette.

The Chief guests were Mr & Dr (Mrs) Reshma Pinto, the parents of our ex-school captain Mst. Karan Pinto. Our Guests of Honour were Mr & Mrs Arte, the parents of Vivek Arte who topped the School in the SSC Board Exams.

The programme proceeded on schedule and in spite of the inclement weather had a huge turnout. Over 539 students walked home happily with certificates in hand for their hard work in the last Scholastic year. Congratulations to them.
