Appreciation Day 2016-17

The annual prize distribution of the primary section went off with a bang on the 16th of September. Our programme began with a walk down memory lane, which brought  to mind how action packed the past year was and also set the tone for our little ones to invite our guests to ‘celebrate good times’.

Fr. Gerard addressed our parents and stressed the importance of a daily attitude of gratitude ; ‘thank you ‘ being one of the three keys or for our tech savvy boys, passwords!

Happy Birthday Principal Anna

Principal Anna Correa birthday celebrations on the 7th September 2017 began with an intercom assembly.

The Council members, on behalf of the students presented her with a floral bouquet and card.

Fr. Andrew s.j., Vice Principal, serenaded Principal Anna with a birthday song, and thanked her for her dedicated service to this Institution.

Farewell Mr. Pius Almeida

The Stanislaus Parivar bid farewell to Mr Pius Almeida who for 33 years was an integral part of the Secondary Office. 

The programme started with a  prayer service  followed by performances by the students and teachers.

A PowerPoint presentation captured the golden moments of Master Pius’s life.

The teachers put together a small skit and dances based on Pius’ years at St. Stanislaus.

The PTA, Staff and students stole his heart through their cards and good wishes.

Teachers Day Celebrations 2017

The PTA members joyfully celebrated Teacher’s Day on 5th September 2017

The celebrations began with a Eucharistic celebration, where in Father Reuben Tellis, the main celebrant, in his homily inspired the teachers to educate the young minds and to bring out the best of the child’s abilities and potentials.

Each class, felicitated their Class Teacher and a Subject Teacher with performances, trained and guided by the PTA Class Rep.

Bandra Gymkhana - 70th Inter School English Elocution Competition 2017

On the 26th of August, 2017, the Bandra Gymkhana, held the finals of their annual Elocution Competition. In the Under-8 open category, Mark D’mello won the 1st place.

In the East Indian category for an Under-8 student, Rylan Enthiado won the 1st place and was awarded a trophy.

Rekindling Patriotism

To spread the feeling of patriotism and to celebrate our 71st Independence day, a  programme was organized which was dedicated to our brave heroes who have laid down their lives  for us. We were fortunate to have Major General Christopher Emanuel Fernandes  as our chief guest for this programme. Students from different schools were also invited for this function.

Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola

The celebrations for the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Patron Saint of the Loyola house, started off on the 25th August 2017, with a class-wise, Chart Competion  based on the Loyola house motto – “ Ideals in Actions.

Stds. 5B & 6D, Std. 7D & 8B  and Std 9C & 10 A & C , were the proud winners.

This year the IGCSE students too participated, of which Group 2 and Group 4 were the winners.

71st Independence Day celebration at St. Stanislaus High School

15th August 2017, the occasion of our country’s 71st Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic zeal in our School.  We began with the tricolor being hoisted by our Chief Guest Bro. Conrad Fonseca, the singing of the National Anthem and reciting the  Pledge by the students and Staff.

A short and meaningful programme was conducted in the school hall thereafter.

Inter-Religious Celebrations at St. Stanislaus High School

14th August 2017, the eve of our Independence day, saw 22 schools participate in an Inter-Religious celebration at St. Stanislaus High School.

The morning started off with an exciting display of a Bunker Busting Drill by NCC cadets, trained by Col KS Kondal, Commanding Officer, 1 Mah BN NCC.

The Chief Guest Maj. Gen. Christopher Fernandes, along with dignitaries from the Armed forces were warmly welcomed by Comperes Ms. Cordelia Lewis and Master Amir Zakaria in the School Hall.

The Annual Athletics Championship organized by Bombay City District Amateur Athletic Association (BCDAAA Athletics Championships) was held on 10th and 11th August 2017 at University Sports Pavilion, Marine Lines, Mumbai. Students from our school participated privately in various events under different Age Categories.
