66th Republic Day Celebration at St. Stanislaus School

‘ONE NATION AND EACH FOR THE NATION’ was the theme of the 66th Republic Day Celebration held at St. Stanislaus High School Bandra.

The school began the Republic Day programme at 7:30 a.m. with Stanislites  gathering on the School Assembly ground. The Chief Guest at this event was Dr. M.Z. Farooqui, Principal of Rizvi College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Bandra.

Road Safety Awareness Rally hosted by St. Stanislaus

Stanislites and students of 13 neighbouring schools were privileged to have amidst them Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay Jt. Commissioner of Police (Traffic) and Mr. Pradeep Chavan Sr. Police Inspector (Traffic), Bandra.

The students of the neighbouring schools gathered at St. Stanislaus School and walked down Hill Road with banners and placards spreading the message of Road Safety to all citizens.

First Jesuit Certificate Program (JCP) Convocation Ceremony

St Stanislaus School experienced a historical event with some Stanislites receiving the First JCP Awards certificates in their Convocation garb.

 Chief Guest, Fr. Paul Fernandes S.J., Vice Chancellor of the new Xavier University, Odisha  was present on Friday, 9th January 2015, to award the Jesuit Certificate Programme (JCP) Awards to the first batch of 2014 students. Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s time to celebrate Christmas

The Christmas celebration at School began in the first week of December with the Stanislites preparing the symbols of Christmas in their Craft classes. The symbols like the Star, Christmas Tree, Candle were later put on display around the School. The crib was placed in the Assembly shed for public viewing.

The Stanislites put the theme of Christmas –Caring and sharing into practice by collecting stationery articles, toiletries and edibles for the needy students of our twin school –St. Xavier’s in Manmad.

The unexpected Saturday morning shower did not dampen the sporting spirit of our Principal, the Sports Director and the Peons who spared no effort in attending to the School grounds so that the event could be held.

Stanislites on a pilgrimage to Mount Marys Basilica

St Stanislaus School this year, as tradition calls for, had the Stanislites walk up to the Mount in prayer and singing of Marathi / Hindi bhajans. This pilgrimage is held every year as a devotion to Mother Mary who spared the hostelites from plague years ago.

Childrens Day 2014 - Celebrating Stanislites

Stanislites were in for a pleasant surprise on Friday, 14th November 2014 with a 2 in 1 celebration of Children’s Day and the feast of the School’s Patron saint –St. Stanislaus Kostka.

The day began with a prayer service and a Eucharistic celebration.

St Stanislaus School celebrated its 150th Annual Prize Day on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in the school auditorium. In keeping with the ‘International year of Crystallography’, the theme of the Annual Day was ‘Crystals Colour Our Life.’

68th Independence Day celebration at St Stanislaus

The 68th Independence Day celebration at St Stanislaus School began at 7:30 am with the flag hoisting and singing of our National Anthem. The National flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest Captain Yezed Gheewala a father of our ex-student, a violinist and a well wisher of our school.

Inter School, Inter Religious Prayer Service

The inter school, inter religious prayer service has been conducted by our School for the last eight years. This event was organized on Wednesday, 13th August 2014 prior to Independence Day.

The event was conducted on a slightly different note with participation from students of different faiths from seven schools around Bandra.
