Bakri Eid 2019

Bakri Eid is one of the most popular festivals celebrated by the Muslims all over the world, also known as ‘Eid ul Adha’. In order to make our students aware of this festival, it was celebrated in our school on the 21st of August 2019. The programme started with a short assembly followed by a power point presentation and a video on sharing and loving one another, depicting values attached to the celebration.

Independence day (Primary)

The 73rd Independence Day of our country was celebrated by the Primary section on the 14th of August 2019 in the school hall. The boys of Std II were instrumental in presenting a lovely prayer service and invoked the Almighty’s blessings for different intentions for our country. The prayer dance too put everyone in a solemn mood.

The feeling of patriotism was further enkindled through a rendition of a medley of patriotic songs, a brief explanation accompanied the display of national symbols and a beautiful dance to lively patriotic songs.

‘Harmony makes small things grow, lack of it makes great things decay’ - Inter Religious Prayer Service

The Inter-religious prayer service programme held on 14th August, 2019 in the school hall at St. Stanislaus was planned keeping this aim in mind which coincides with the school theme for the year- Stanislites together towards harmony.

Independence Day Celebration

On 15th August 2019 St Stanislaus High School celebrated Independence Day with great patriotism. The celebration began with the flag hoisting by our Principal, Tr. Anna, Vice Principal, Sr. Arockia, Supervisor, Fr. Felix and our chief guest for this day, Shivprakash Pandey. The boys then started moving towards to School Hall where the celebration began.

Origamy Activity Primary

The boys of Stds.III & IV had an origami activity on 2nd August, 2019, where the activity brought forth the boys unique creation & imagination. The boys had to make a flower or a fish using at least five folds. The students came up with amazing ideas and presented it beautifully using an appropriate background. The boys were awarded merits and their work was displayed on the board outside the Treasurer’s Office.

Korea - India Quiz Competition

Mumbais largest ever Quiz Contest for School Students on an international topic was organised by Korean Cultural Centre India on 7th August, 2019. The prizes were given by Mr. Kim Dong Young, the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Mumbai.

The top two winners got a free trip each to Korea for 6 Days and 5 Nights. More than 8000 students from 20 schools participated in the 1st Korea – India Friendship Quiz Contest Mumbai 2019. Clay Modelling Activity

The boys of Std 1 and 2 had a clay modelling activity which was held on 2nd August 2019 The theme for this year’s activity was ‘Sea Creatures’.  The students had to cover a mount board with blue paper and place various sea creatures, made out of clay on it.  The students displayed their creativity and the sea animals they made were truly a work of art.  They enjoyed making various sea creatures themselves as well as by watching their friends as it is rightly said, “Creativity is intelligence having fun”.

German Cultural Exchange Programme

The students of St Stanislaus High School along with Apostolic Carmel High School had the opportunity for a Cultural and Educational Programme to Wilhelm’s Gymnasium School in Stuttgart, Germany. This trip included 4 boys from St. Stanislaus High School and 6 girls from Apostolic Carmel High School. Sr. Suchitra, (Principal) and Ms. Patricia  (teacher) from Apostolic Carmel High School and Ms. Cindrella D’Mello  (teacher) and Ms. Reshma Zakaria, (PTA member) from St. Stanislaus High School accompanied the students.

Loyola House Feast Celebrations

On the31st of July the school celebrated the Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola with great joy This is a very special day for the Jesuits.  Celebrations began way in advance with a Canteen day organised by the teachers and students of std 10. A chart making competition was held for std 5th to 9th. To bring in the festive spirit the March of St. Ignatius was sung every day in school with great pride.
