St Stanislaus Athletic Team wins prestigious TATA & Ahmed Sailor Challenge Shields

For the  second consecutive year the  St Stanislaus Athletic Team brought laurels to the school by winning the prestigious TATA Challenge & Ahmed Sailor Challenge Shields , having secured the highest points(65 points) in the 'Boys School' category for all divisions during the MSSA inter school athletic meet held at the Bombay University Stadium from the 15-18 December 2011.The March Past Team too, who were well turned out competed for the very first time and eventually finished with an excellent display of their marching skills on the final day, however they lost out to the...Learn More

St. Stanislaus School celebrated its 148th Athletic Meet on Saturday, 10th December 2011 at 1:30 p.m on the School grounds.

Mr. Christopher & Mrs. Rosita Pereira, parents of the School Sports Captain Master Kyle Pereira presided along with Mrs. Nirmala D’mello as Guests of Honour.

30th November 2011 was an eventful day as Stanislaus bid a memorable adieu to dear Tr. Liz. The farewell committee had organised a special cruise liner for the day. As ‘Liz Liner’ set sail on her final voyage at Stanislaus she did so in all her splendour.

SCOUTS MAKE BANDRA GREEN

The West Mumbai Suburban District  Bharat Scout & Guide Association celebrated Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti with a tree plantation at the District office Juhu, on Sunday, 2nd October2011. The programme was conducted by Mr. Leonard Gonsalves  (District Chief Commissioner).

The Std. X Scout boys of St. Stanislaus High School lived up to their scout law. A scout is a friend to animals   and loves nature. The West Mumbai Suburban District Bharat Scout and Guide Association organized a Scout and Guide Patrol Leaders Training workshop at St. Teresa’s Convent  School  (Santacruz) on Saturday, 24th September 2011 from 8a.m. to 2p.m.

Dr. Keki Gharda visits his Alma Mater

Dr. Keki  Gharda (Class of 1941) an octogenarian and an ex-student,  visited his Alma Mater on Tuesday, 13th September 2011.

Dr Gharda is a prominent Indian chemical engineer, chemist and entrepreneur. He is the founder, chairman and managing director of Gharda Chemicals Limited, an R&D-based company with business interests in agrochemicals, polymers and pigments. He got his Chemical engineering degree in 1950 from Bombay University, Masters from University of Michigan and Ph.D from University Of Oklahoma.

Visit to Bai Ratanbai Gharda Memorial Library

On Wednesday, 7th September 2011, a group of teachers and the Principal all avid readers walked down Hill Road, Bandra to visit the library-cum-reading room of the Bai Ratanbai Gharda Memorial Library.

The centrally air-conditioned library has over 8,000 books covering various subjects including literature, management, medicine, engineering, law, art, history, science and biographies and books for travel enthusiasts.

The 30th of August 2011 was a red letter day for Stanislaus School, as Stanislites assembled in our School Hall for a very special reason and more so for an exceptional person. It was the grand farewell to our teacher, Tr. Thelma, who after a glorious 34 years and 2 months innings at Stanislaus was bidding Au Revoir!

Book review competition at Gharda Memorial Library

The Bai Ratanbai Gharda Memorial Library in Bandra hosted a book review competition on the occasion of ‘Pustakalaya Diwas’ on 12th August 2011 in St. Stanislaus High School.

The participants were given 10 Fiction books. Titles being Percy Jackson series and The House of Night series - like Marked, Betrayed, Chosen to name a few. Participation from the school children was good and encouraging.
