St. Stanislaus High School began its athletic campaign for the year 2012-13 with a bang, winning gold in 2 out of the 4 events for boys at the Interschool All Bandra Road Races held on August, 19, 2012. Adam Alvares (Std. V) won the 1st place in the Boys u/10 category, whereas Mayur Bhivara (Std.X) stood 1st in the Boys U/17 category. 65th Independence Day celebrations at Stanislaus
The 65th Independence Day started with the flag hoisting by our Chief Guest Dr. Harish Shetty, in the presence of the parents of the SSC toppers as guests, followed by a salute to the National flag and the singing of the National Anthem.

Sesquicentenary Inter-school English Debate
After the eyes of Bandra witnessed a spectacular launch for the sesquicentennial celebration, St. Stanislaus, marched forward with its maiden event, the Interschool English Debate. This was the podium for an interactive and representational argument that supported the technique of persuasion. It was a momentous occasion as 8 schools from Bandra (W) participated in the elimination round held on the 21st of July 2012. Sesquicentenary Inauguration Ceremony
The lighting of the Inaugural Lamp signaled the onset of a series of scintillating events. The school anthem presented by the school choir and some ex-students, including celebrity singer, Shaan, added to the excitement. The Principal, Fr. Jude Fernandes, presented the Welcome Address, this was followed by the AV – ‘Natus Ad Maiora” 150 years and beyond. Messages from the Chief Guest, Dr. Keki Gharda and the School Manager, Fr. Our School hosted the ‘LAWRIE’S XI INTERSCHOOL CRICKET TOURNAMENT’ from Monday, 16th April to Wednesday, 18th April 2012, at Shivaji Park, Dadar. This tournament started since the year 2007. Ever since its inception, we have met with great success. This year we had 8 teams each participating in the U-14 and U-16 category.

Second cultural exchange program (CEP) at St. Stanislaus High School
As part of the Jesuit Certificate Programme (JCP), the boys of Std. VIII were given an opportunity to play host and take home another student for a night’s stay.
These boys hailed from a village called Asangaon in Maharashtra and were apprehensive of coming to Mumbai. To them Mumbai and Mumbaikars were scary, violent, rich and uncaring. But their interaction with the JCP boys allayed their fears and they enjoyed the hospitality of the homes that lodged them.
