Dream Big Little Ones- A Children’s Day Celebration to Remember!

“There’s joy and wonder everywhere when you see the world through the eyes of a child”. A day marking childhood was celebrated in a unique and virtual way with fun and frolic at St. Stanislaus High School on 20th November, 2021.

In spite of the pandemic upheavals, our enthusiastic staff members always strive to emerge with innovation for our dear Stanislites. Tr. Rubina (committee in-charge) along with her hardworking team made up of Trs. Cindrella Koli, Casey, Libnah, Saili and Gloria worked meticulously to make this celebration enjoyable.

We began our day with a live streamed introduction to the programme by Tr. Charmaine followed by a short prayer by Tr. Cindrella Koli to invoke God’s presence. The committee members and the academic council members assembled in the museum for cutting of the cake while teachers sang and made the children feel special. Principal, Sr. Arockiammal Anthony then gave a beautiful message addressing the students.

The most awaited part was the virtual programme. Class teachers of Std 5 to 10 then met the students online on Microsoft Teams. A pre- recorded and compiled celebration video link was shared with our students. On this day, we wanted our students to know that they play an important role in our lives and so we created a video in which we brought out the significance of the day and linked it with the virtues of St Stanislaus, our patron saint. We had an exciting quiz in which our students had to identify the different dance forms performed by our teachers, parents and Ex- students. A mind-blowing fashion show based on the online- offline and sports themes refreshed the memories of students. This was followed by a band performance by our teacher and parents, The programme ended with the song, ‘You are not a face in the crowd'. It was a complete entertainment package for our students.

The social distancing and other necessary protocols were kept in mind while this programme was recorded. This celebration wouldn’t have been possible without the dedicated Children’s Day committee, Ex- students and the support of our management. Hearty thanks to the entire teaching and non-teaching staff for their contribution and cooperation which led to a beautiful celebration. The entire programme was virtually applauded and appreciated by children and will always remain etched imemories.
