The Inter-House Quiz Competition was conducted on 14th July 2026 for the Middle School students of Standards V to VII and the Higher School students of Standards VIII to X. The Middle School quiz session was held after the short break, while the Higher School quiz session took place after the lunch break.
The four houses- Britto, Loyola, Xavier, and Kostka, participated in the competition. Each house was represented by a team of four students, ensuring balanced representation from different classes.
The quiz comprised a variety of rounds designed to test different facets of the students' intellect. The Current Affairs and General Knowledge round included questions on national and international events. The Sports round featured questions on renowned sportspersons and major national and international sporting events. The Mathematics and Science round challenged the participants' mathematical and scientific knowledge. The Entertainment round added excitement as participants identified Hollywood and Bollywood personalities and songs through video clips.
The atmosphere during both sessions was tense, competitive, and filled with excitement. The audience enthusiastically cheered for their respective houses, making the event highly interactive and enjoyable.
The teachers in charge of the various rounds kept the momentum alive throughout the competition with their energetic conduct.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks. The Principal, Sr. Arockia, commended the Quiz Committee for the flawless execution of the event and praised the participants for their outstanding performance. Certificates of Honour were presented to the participants of all four houses. Britto House emerged victorious by securing the highest score in both the Middle School and Higher School quiz sessions and was awarded the overall championship trophy.
The event was organised by the Inter-House Quiz Committee comprising Mr. Elias Correia, Ms. Suparna Banerjee, Ms. Pramila Gonsalves, Ms. Ornate Gonsalves, Ms. Geetha Naidu, Ms. Freda DeSouza, and co-opted member Mr. Nityanand Ponraj. Special thanks were extended to Mr. Roger D’Abreo for capturing the electrifying moments of the event.
