The Most Awaited Dual Celebration: Kostka Feast And Children's Day!

"I Want Eternity. I Was Born For Greater Things." Surely, the lockdown has separated us for a while but this didn't stop our enthusiastic staff from making this day so memorable for our students. On the 7th of November, 2020, Stanislites witnessed a very unique and virtual dual celebration: The feast of our patron saint, St. Stanislaus Kostka, and Children's Day. The pre-celebrations for the feast began on the 9th of October with an amazing and informative video on St. Stanislaus and ended on the 14th of October with an online Poster-making Competition for standards 5th to 10th. Congratulations to the winners: Liam Carvalho (5A), Nash Sequeira (6D), Ishaan Pole (7D), Keegan Monteiro (8A), Mannan Shaikh (9A), and Devansh Thakkar (10C) for the excellent presentation of their posters on the 'Life of St. Stanislaus Kostka'. It was finally time for the most awaited Celebration Day! We began our day with a live-streamed eucharistic celebration by our main celebrant, Fr. Ivan D'Souza S.J. at St. Peter's Church. After this, a pre-recorded and compiled celebration video link was shared with our students. On this day, we wanted our students to know that we dearly miss them and wish that we could celebrate this day with them in person. Hence, we created a video that included an exciting skit, prayer service, dances by teachers and parents, a beautiful quarantine display of children’s day messages sent by our entire staff, and much more. It was a complete package of entertainment and fun for our students, parents, and teachers. This indeed is proof that we Stanislites are born for greater things! - By Janice Fernandes (Kostka House Leader)
