St. Stanislaus High School Parent-Teacher Association was formed to bring about a closer co-operation between Home and School.
The Parent-Teacher Association is the back bone of St. Stanislaus. They organize the sale of exercise books and T-shirts, mid-day nourishment programmes, teachers day celebration and regulate traffic. Leadership qualities are inculcated through the institution of the four house system with free and fair elections to important posts. Class Assemblies on value – based themes give scope for creativity, talent and team work.
Some of its objectives are
- To help establish a healthy relationship between Teachers & Parents inter se.
- To plan and execute educational and recreational activities and also assist the School in implementing programmes for the benefit of teachers & students.
- To establish scholarships for disadvantaged,underprivileged and deserving pupils.
- To ensure that the prescribed syllabus is completed within the stipulated time.
- To assist weak students in coping with their studies.
- To assist teachers and students in tackling problems that may arise in the field of education.
Who can become a member?
The Parent - Teacher Association consist of the Principal of the School, Members of the staff and Ordinary Members, and if necessary, Associate and Honorary Associate Members. Every Parent or guardian is qualified for ordinary
membership. This membership however ceases from the day the boy discontinues his studies in the School. Friends and well-wishers of the School may be admitted as Associate Members.
The Executive Committee
The Executive Committee consist of The Principal, Twenty-two selected members, of which eleven shall be parents and eleven teachers, each standard of the school (including the K.G.) being represented by one parent and one teacher and who will be responsible for all decisions.Thirty - three selected members, all of which shall be parents, each representing one division.A Student Representative nominated by the Executive Committee. (In the cse of our Institution, the School Captain automatically becomes the student representative). A new Executive Committee is elected every two years.
