The Arts & Craft Club along with teachers Ruby Dabre and Princelia Pereira went on a field trip to the JJ School of Arts and the Jehangir Art Gallery on the 20th February 2016.
It was the 81st Annual Exhibition by the students of The JJ School of Arts which was established in 1935. The boys visited the Commercial Section of the Art School and were amazed at the 2D and 3D models, paintings made with waterproof ink, charcoal drawings and a collage made of paper quilling depicting a famous personality. There were architectural drawings and models of houses, hotels and stage set-ups.
At the Jehangir Art Gallery the boys met three artists, Mr. Shudip Roy, Mr. Yogesh Patil and Mr. Chandrakanth Ganacharya. Mr. Roy and Mr. Patil exhibited their paintings, and Mr. Ghanacharya’s exhibit was 120 ants with brass bodies and pins used for the legs. It had taken him two days to complete the set.
The boys returned home after a day full of learning experiences and fun.
