The word “Election” means a formal decision making process by which a population chooses an individual to hold public office. The process may also be used in private organizations and in school as well. The outcome in all cases is the appointment of Leaders who sit in office for the duration of the term, primarily looking after the interests of those who have elected them.

Story Telling Competition

A story telling competition was held on the 13th of February, at St. Mary’s High School Goregoan, for the 1st and 2nd standard students  Each student had to narrate a story within three minutes with expression and voice modulation.   Mark Savio D’mello and Mark de Melo both from standard 2nd took part in this competition.  The boys enthusiastically practiced and took part in this competition.  Mark Savio D’mello narrated the story ‘Three Billy Goats Gruff’ and Mark de Melo narrated the story ‘Heny Penny’ Mark Savio D’mello secured the 2nd place in this competition...Learn More

Britto House Feast

 St. John de Britto also known as The Red Sand Saint was a Jesuit martyr in India. His feast is celebrated on 4th February every year.

A  Bookmark making competition on 27th January,2017 with the  theme “FOR GOD AND COUNTRY” started off the celebrations .

The Feast Day on 3rd Feb. 2017, began with a Eucharistic Celebration. Fr. Luke Rodrigues, was the main celebrant. His meaningful message to the boys was in keeping with the Britto house Motto .

Primary Std 1 & 2 Fancy Dress Competition

A Fancy Dress Competition was held on 4th February, 2017 for the students of Std.1 & 2. Sixty-one students participated in it. The theme for the competition was ‘Once upon a time’ where the contestants’ dressed up as fairy tale characters and spoke a few words on the character they were dressed up as. The students spoke with confidence and were dressed up extremely well. However four students from Standard 1 and five students from Standard 2 were the winners. Kids for Tigers

Children are the Future of Tomorrow. Keeping this in mind, Bittu Sahgal started “Kids for tigers” in 2000, to create awareness among students, to safeguard the natural habitat of Tigers and protect them.

Kids for Tigers conducts plays, competitions, lectures and organizes trips for  school children to the neighboring forests and wildlife sanctuaries to introduce them to a culture of biodiversity and habitat.

Primary Republic Day Celebrations 2017

To celebrate the 68th Republic Day the subject teachers and the boys of  the Primary Section put up a programme on 25th January, 2017 in the school hall.

The programme began with a speech and prayer service asking God to protect our nation and its people. This was followed by a Marathi patriotic song by the boys of Std III showing their love for our country. Some children dressed in Indian attire and shared information on many of our National symbols.

Republic Day 2017

The Staff and Students of St. Stanislaus High School celebrated the 68th Republic Day on 26th January 2017 on the school ground.

Grp. Capt P. Bakshi, a Fighter Pilot in the Air Force, presently working as a Group Commander in Mumbai-B group was the Chief Guest.

The programme commenced with the hoisting of the flag followed by the National Anthem and Pledge.

Health and fitness are two sides of the same coin, both are very necessary to live a healthy and happy life, Without proper health and fitness  one cannot have a feeling of physical, mental and social well being. R.S.P. Road Awareness Programme

On Wednesday 11th January, 2017 a R.S.P. Road Awareness Programme was conducted by St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra (West) and the Bandra Traffic Police.  The Police Raath arrived in the school compound at 10.15 a.m. sharp to be welcomed by 60 students from Apostolic Carmel Convent, Bandra (West) , 60 students from Anjumam Islam School, Bandra (West) and more than 110 students from St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra (West) and also took an active part in the programme.
