Christmas Carol Singing Competition 2016

An Annual Carol Singing Competition was held on 15th December 2016 at St Elias High School [Khar]. 14 enthusiastic schools participated in this competition including our school. 15 boys of the Primary Section represented our school. The children sang the traditional carol “ Go Tell It on The Mountains “. They were trained by Mrs. Karen D’Abreo and sang melodiously straight from their hearts.

The 153rd Annual Athletic Meet

The 153rd  Annual Athletic Meet was held in the morning at 9.15 a.m, on Saturday, 10th December 2016.

Chief Guests, Mr. Uday & Mrs. Mrunali Chavan, parents of Master Chinmay Chavan, Sports Captain, and Mr. Stephen & Mrs. Maya Pereira, parents of the Assistant School Sports Captain, Master Marven Pereira, were welcomed with a Guard of Honour by the Scouts.

The Chief Guest declared the Meet open after the recitation of the Sportsman’s Oath by the Sports Captain

39th Prabhodhan Inter School Athletic Meet

A few boys from the under 8, under 10 and under 12 age group of our school took part in the 39th Prabhodhan Inter School Athletic Meet held on the 8th and the 9th December 2016. While Jordan Desmond from the 3rd Standard finished 5th in the finals, Arjun Jayswal from the 4th standard won 2 gold medals while representing our school in the 100 meters and 50 meters sprints.Learn More

Mumbai Juniorthon 2016

Sahil Sargurh from 3-D won the bronze medal in the Junior Marathon held on 4th Dec  2016.

The Mumbai Juniorthon is an annual running event for children & junior athletes in Mumbai. It ffocuses on getting Mumbai children up and running towards a healthier lifestyle. The event encourages children to go outdoors and get physically fit through runninng.Learn More

The feast of St Francis Xavier

The feast of St Francis Xavier was celebrated in school on Thursday, 3rd December 2016. The programme commenced with a prayer service, a short movie and skit based on the life of St.Francis Xavier.

After the programme in school, and as per tradition, Stanislites walked their way to Mount Mary’s Basilica for a Eucharistic celebration.

This pilgrimage is held annually to follow the vow the Bandraites had taken years ago, when Bandra was weighed down by plague.

Inter- House debate

The finals of the Inter-House Debate between the Loyola house and the Britto house, was held on 16th December 2016.

The motion debated on was ‘Inventions destroy Mankind.’

A panel of esteemed judges comprising of Mr. Prince Paul Shihn and Mr. Sunil Puri both from Bollywood industry and Mr. Asif Bhamla a politician were given the important task of judging the debate.

Poinsur Gymkhana Athletic Meet

Boys of our school had taken  part in the Poinsur Gymkhana Athletic meet at Kandivli between 1st Dec and 3rd Dec 2016. Arjun Jayswal from 4-A won the under – 10 championship by winning 2 gold medals in the 100 and 80 meters races.Learn More

Tr. Ruby Vaz - Art in Heart

The Stanislaus Parivar bid farewell to Tr Ruby who for 36 years encouraged and brought out the creative best in the students. 

The programme started with a  prayer dance by our boys , followed by a reading from the Holy Bible and a short homily by Fr. Ambrose. Darryl Loyola, an ex student presented “You touched my life”. His drawing and art is a culmination of Tr. Ruby’s encouragement and artistic talent.

A PowerPoint presentation captured the golden moments of Tr. Ruby’s life.The teachers put together a traditional song and dance of Vasai.
