‘ONE NATION AND EACH FOR THE NATION’ was the theme of the 66th Republic Day Celebration held at St. Stanislaus High School Bandra.
The school began the Republic Day programme at 7:30 a.m. with Stanislites gathering on the School Assembly ground. The Chief Guest at this event was Dr. M.Z. Farooqui, Principal of Rizvi College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Bandra.
A minutes silence was observed in honour of the martyrs who had lost their lives saving the country. The tricolour flag was unfurled by the Chief Guest and the National Anthem sung. The Pledge was recited in Hindi by our Std. VIII student, Master Adit Savla. There was the MarchPast by the NCC, Scout, RSP and Red Cross squads.
A patriotic speech in Hindi and English was delivered by the Stanislites. There was a Kick boxing feat and Lezim performance as part of the cultural programme.
Dr. Farooqui expressed his gratitude to the leaders who made India proud through their valour and stressed on Unity and Harmony.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Fr. Andrew Rodrigues.
The programme concluded with echoing of slogans like "Bharat Mata ki Jai; Hum Sab Ek hai".
Stanislites dispersed with great enthusiasm and fervor to flag the Republic Day sticker flag on citizens at their demarcated venues. This made them feel proud of being an ‘Awakened Indian’.
