‘Care for Creation’ has been an ongoing green initiative at St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra West. This year most of the school activities have revolved around caring for and nurturing the environment through various green initiatives taken up by the school. Cricket Maestro - Arjun Jaiswal

Arjun scored 102 Not Out in 48 balls playing for MIG in under 12 age group in the semi final of a 20 over tournament at Vile Parle and was involved in 234 run opening partnership.

Their team scored 234 for 0 in 20 overs with both openers remaining not out. They won the match by 110 runs. Both the boys got man of match award for their innings.

Scout Sports Champion 2018 - 2019

Scout sports day was held at West Mumbai Suburb district ground Juhu on 30th January 2019.

The following prizes were bagged by our boys:

R.S.P. Rally

On 28th January 2019, the school R.S.P. squad had a rally spreading awareness on Road Safety. There were three schools who participated in this rally. The programme began with the hoisting of the R.S.P. flag by Sub police inspector Manoj Godase. The R.S.P. pledge was then taken by Master Durwin Britto. The rally, then began from the school ground to Mehboob Studio, (Bandstand). Our boys marched on the street displaying placards and charts on topics like ‘Do not drink and drive’, Zebra crossing is meant for pedestrians only’, ‘Use of Helmet/Seat belts’ and Make way for the Ambulance’. St Stanislaus 70th Republic Day Celebrations

On 26th January 2019, St. Stanislaus High School celebrated its 70th Republic Day in a glorious manner. This day is important to every Indian as it was on this day that our constitution came into effect.

We were honoured to have a very important person in our midst on this day as our Chief Guest Lt. Col Stephen D’costa along with his beautiful family graced this occasion with his presence. Rest in Peace Lt. General Francis Dias

Eminent Ex-student (1948 batch) Lt  General Francis Dias passed away on Republic Day This was an important day for him because he was conferred three very important awards on this day in the past by the President of India - the Param Vishist Seva Medal (PVSM), the Ati Vishisht Seva medal (AVSM), which he was awarded for distinguished service in counter-insurgency, and the Vir Chakra. He also fought in the 1965 and 1971 Wars. During Operation Cactus Lily, in the erstwhile East Pakistan, he led his battalion to capture Bogra Town on December 14, 1971. Republic Day Celebration 2019 (Primary)

This year Republic Day was celebrated in the Primary Section on 25thJanuary 2019. The programme was organised  by the boys and teachers of Std IV.

After a short introduction about Republic Day, the programme began with a prayer service. The boys sang the hymn ‘This little light of mine’ as Tr. Jennifer Pereira, the headmistress of the primary section, along with four students dressed in their traditional outfits lit the Samai. This was followed by prayerful petitions made for our country. The prayer service ended with the singing of the hymn ‘Bind us Together Lord’.

Geography Quiz

The Geography Club held an exciting Quiz Competition for their members on 12th January 2019. The members were asked to prepare themselves on various topics based on the subject. Students from the club from STD 5 to STD 9 answered the various questions to the best of their abilities. Three students bagged the prizes for this competition. They were Kaide Pereira (VI B), Gandhar Inagle (VI C), and Aditya Jadhav (VI A). It was a good experience for all the students and they enjoyed the Quiz Competition.Learn More

Hindi Divas Celebrations
