153rd Annual Awards Day 2016

The 153rd Annual Awards Day was held on Saturday 27th August 2016

The Chief Guest was Mrs. Smita Jadhav, the mother of our current School Captain, Master Ojas Jadhav and our Guests of Honour were, Mr. & Mrs. Rony Quadras,

parents of our school S.S.C topper, Master Gerard Quadras.   The Comperes for the function were, Master Raudman Irani and Master Jayden  D’Mello.

Inter School Elocution Competition Winners

The Inter School Elocution Competiton was held on the 27th August 2016 Master Patrick Desouza won the 2nd place in the 8-12 yrs category at the Bandra Gymkhana Inter School Elocution Cometition. 21 schools participated.

Master Krish Pinto won 1st place in the 12-16 years category at the Bandra Gymkhana Inter School Elocution Competion and the Best Performer prize as well.

Out of the 44 schools that participated St. Stanislaus won the 2nd place.

Road Safety program

St Stanislaus Road Safety Committee had organised a Crossing Warden Training on Tuesday 23 August, 2016 at 8.40 am, on Hill Road. Traffic control training was given to traffic volunteers opposite School’s gate number 1.

Science Club Visit to the Nehru Science Centre

The Science Club students from  Std 5-9 visited the Nehru Science Centre on Tuesday 23rd August 2016 accompanied by Tr. Sadaf & Tr. Deepali.

The boys were thrilled to see the various fields of science and technology.

The evolution of man was seen through POP (Plaster of Paris) images which looked real, including the stones of various eras.

They were excited to handle working models of aero-science using turbo jet engines.

The Film Club

The Film Club is an endeavour that strives to transform the lives of children within the space of the school system. It welcomes children to experience the magic of cinema through film watching, live shooting, hands on camera experience, visits to the film industry, Celeb talk and a lot more. Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better

15th August 2016, marked 70 years of Independence The Staff and Students of St Stanislaus High School commenced the celebrations with the hoisting of the flag by our Chief Guests, Ex-Stanislites, Master Srinivas Venkatesh and Master Brenden Don Barretto, both doctors in the making, at 7.30.a.m.

The National Anthem was sung with great fervor accompanied by the School Band.

English Elocution Competition (Primary)

The English Elocution Competition for standards 1 to 4 was held on the 22nd and 26th  of  August, 2016 respectively. The judges for class 1and 2 were Mrs. Juanita Lobo a retired teacher from Jamnabai Narsee School and Mrs. Shurekha Lobo a teacher from St Joseph’s Convent High School and  the judges for class 3 and 4 were Mrs. Anna Menezes and Mrs. Mayrose D’Souza former teachers of our school.

Independence is Happiness (Primary)

To spread the happiness and celebrate the completion of sixty-nine years of  Independence the teachers and boys of Standard 3 put up a programme on 13th August, 2016 in the School Hall. The programme began with a prayer and hymn asking God to bind us together. A few boys then began a discussion on what independence really means. Unity- the central theme was clearly brought out throughout the program starting with the play which highlighted the fact that we must be united in order to progress. Inter-religious Prayer Service

The Inter-religious Prayer Service was celebrated on the 13th August 2016.

The theme for that morning was “Water” – one of the oldest and most meaningful symbols found in cultures and religions worldwide – a sign of purity.

The different religions were Christianity, Hinduism,  Jainism, Zoroastrianism, Islam, and Buddhism. The  importance of  Holy Water in each of these religions was portrayed with  readings from the Holy Books, a prayer dance accompanied by visuals and a bhajan.
