St. Stanislaus High School celebrated India's 77th Independence Day on August 15, 2023. Everyone stood in respect as the chief guest, Kaide Pereira, hoisted the national flag. The national anthem was sung with pride, and the pledge was recited in Hindi by Saurav Singh. The students then proceeded to the school hall. The chief guests and dignitaries were escorted to the auditorium by the school council as the band played a slow march. The program began with Ethan Fernandes reciting the poem "Where the Mind Is Without Fear" by Rabindranath Tagore. Dylan Pinto and Fuzail Shah spoke eloquently in English and Hindi, respectively, about sacrifice and patriotism. The song, dance, and skit highlighted the values of service, unity, and tolerance. This was followed by the felicitation of the SSC toppers. The day ended on a wonderful note with the singing of the school anthem.
