The 77th Independence Day of our country was celebrated by the primary section on 14th August 2023. The students of std IV were excited to put up the programme. We were honoured to have as our chief guest Naik Subedar Tsewang Galson who belongs to the Parent Unit 15 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry. He had fought in the Kargil War. He was felicitated by the manager, principal and headmistress of our school.
The celebration started with a prayer and prayer dance for our country. Through a video the students were made aware of our freedom struggle. With the help of a presentation the students also spoke about our freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our country.
This was followed by a skit which gave us the message of the need for unity and harmony among all Indians in order for our country to progress.
The students also entertained us with a patriotic dance. Under the guidance of Sir Sagar the students put up a wonderful P.T. display too.
Tr. Jennifer the headmistress of our school gave the vote of thanks. The celebration ended with everyone proudly singing the national anthem.
