An important announcement about rifle shooting caught the attention of all the students. Many wanted to grab the golden opportunity. On 21st June 2022, wearing the khaki uniform, barrot, belt and DMS shoes brought an elated feeling of pride, the feeling of being a soldier. Sir Nithyanand then led us to the camp, which was held at Colaba. We were first trained on how to handle the rifle and how to shoot. We were each given a .22 rifle. The army officer further instructed us about the commands and what had to be done at the command, for eg: position, fire, etc. We also gained knowledge and information about the soldiers, army life, rifles, Kargil war, other war conditions, etc. that was remarkably interesting. It was indeed a great experience.
