The 74th Republic Day celebrations at St Stanislaus High School commenced with the ritualistic Guard of Honor followed by the hoisting of the Great Indian Tricolour by the Chief Guest- Master Aditya Doshi- SSC Topper for the Year 2021. The ceremony was duly attended by the students, parents and staff members including the support staff, of the school. The Flag hoisting ceremony followed by the Flag Salute, singing of the National Anthem, a minute of silence in respect to the Flag, reading of the Pledge in Hindi by Master Vansh, reinforced the ‘living up’ to the true meaning of the constitution.
The grand parade by the NCC- Air, NCC- Army, Scouts and RSP filled the air with pride. The little geniuses of the school truly summed up the meaning of this great day by recalling the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters of the country and discussing love, gratitude and respect for the motherland through a Skit based on the Preamble. A patriotic song by Master Jay Shinde reinforced a patriotic fervour in everyone. Master Aiden Noronha delivered a speech with great pride for the country. A display of Karate by the students of Std 5 under the guidance of Sor Dev D Bhat and Malkhamb exhibited by a group of youngsters under the guidance of Sir Nitin filled the air with cheers of excitement and encouragement. The unmatchable spirit of the Comperes of the day Master Samuel Pereira and Master Vyom Rane truly justified the spirit of the day. The day ended with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Vice Principal Tr Charmaine. The Republic Day Committee headed by Sir Shreenath, Tr Anita Dave, Tr Nikita Chatterjee and Tr Nawaal put up a meaningful programme.
The valuable elements of liberty, fraternity and equality across the nation was re-established and reaffirmed the daily efforts to ensure that the school achieves newer echelons of success.
