BCDAA Athletics Championships (Primary)

The 49th Annual Athletics Championship organized by Bombay City District Amateur Athletic Association (BCDAA Athletics Championships) was held on 1st and 2nd September 2016 at University Sports Pavilion, Marine Lines, Mumbai. Students from our school participated in various events under different Age Categories. Out of 9 Students who participated from our school, 5 got a chance to stand on the podium and win medals in various events. The others who did not win medals, performed well too and had reached the finals in their respective events.

English Elocution Competition (Primary)

The English Elocution Competition for standards 1 to 4 was held on the 22nd and 26th  of  August, 2016 respectively. The judges for class 1and 2 were Mrs. Juanita Lobo a retired teacher from Jamnabai Narsee School and Mrs. Shurekha Lobo a teacher from St Joseph’s Convent High School and  the judges for class 3 and 4 were Mrs. Anna Menezes and Mrs. Mayrose D’Souza former teachers of our school.

Independence is Happiness (Primary)

To spread the happiness and celebrate the completion of sixty-nine years of  Independence the teachers and boys of Standard 3 put up a programme on 13th August, 2016 in the School Hall. The programme began with a prayer and hymn asking God to bind us together. A few boys then began a discussion on what independence really means. Unity- the central theme was clearly brought out throughout the program starting with the play which highlighted the fact that we must be united in order to progress. Stanislaus Got Talent

Immaculata, the inter-school annual competition kicked off this year with a bang on the 2nd and 3rd of July, 2016. The host of events planned always promise to showcase every facet of talent; from sport to performing and literary arts.

This year, the primary section also took part in the competition, displaying their talent in six events. Parents’ Day 2016 (Primary)

On the occasion of Parents’ Day, the primary section organized a day full of fun with a Treasure Hunt, for the parents on the 6th of August 2016. The parents assembled in the school shed at 9 a.m. in their respective dress code with a lot of enthusiasm and team spirit.

Darryl Loyola was the host for the programme. The programme started with some warm-up activities followed by the treasure hunt. Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola (Primary)

The feast of St Ignatius of Loyola (the founder of the Society of Jesus) was celebrated by the primary section on the 29th of July 2016. The children took part in activities such as colouring, best out of waste, and mask – making.

The boys of Std 1st were given to colour a sunflower and complete the sentence ‘I like a sunflower because….’ They displayed their skill of colouring to perfection and the sentence given was also well completed by them.

Clay Modeling Competition 2016

The Clay Modeling Competition was held on the 16th of July, 2016 for the boys of std. I and II. The theme for the competition was ‘Fruits and Vegetables’.  The teachers in charge were Miss. Malaika Rodrigues and Mrs. Raynah Braganza.

Boys brought their clay and eagerly made clay models of fruits and vegetables and displayed their work beautifully. They showed a lot of interest and completed their work within the stipulated time.

Eumind Europe meets India Trip to ‘The Netherlands’

14 students from Std 8th and 9th along with Teachers Prtitisha Murzello and Pramila Gonsalves were invited to Jac. P. Thijsse College, Netherland, as a part of the Eumind exchange programme from 16th April 2016 to 24th April 2016.

As this was a cultural exchange the students were hosted by the Dutch families and the teachers were hosted by the Trip organizer Mr. Wouter   Bregman.

The students attended school and there were various classes held especially for them.

Primary Talent Search 2015-16

Finally it was here!!!!!! That time of the year, when the talent search had to be held. With great enthusiasm the entry forms were given to the children and entries were eagerly awaited. The categories for the Talent Search were as follows- Instrumentals, Vocals and Sketching. A thunderous response was received for the Sketching category competition, while a fairly good number of children gave in their entries for the Instrumental and Vocal categories.
