Teacher’s day was commemorated with a grand and beautiful celebration organised by the PTA on Monday 5th September 2022. The morning began with a meaningful and inspiring Eucharistic celebration by Fr. Elton Namori SJ. “Journeying towards empowering minds” a theme chosen was based on the ongoing Synod. Fr Elton highlighted the importance of a teachers role in the mind of a child. In his homily he enlightened us that the role of each one of us as teachers and the impact we have on the life of a child is more important than the content we impart.
The teachers were welcomed into their respective staffrooms, where they were offered light refreshments and were subsequently escorted to their classrooms. Teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. Hence to express their gratitude, a wide range of activities were organised by the children.
The teachers then proceeded to Hotel Bloom, Juhu Tara Road for an entertainment programme preceded by games. There was a live band with foot tapping music in English and Hindi that kept the teachers enthused and in high spirits followed by a sumptuous lunch. Our Compere for the event was none other than Darryl Loyola.
The Teaching & Non-Teaching staff were felicitated with gifts. The teachers who completed 25 years of service in school was also felicitated.
Teachers ended the day by singing 'thank you thank you Parents...' for the PTA. It was enjoyable as expressed by the teachers as they reminisced memories and moments.
