The word “Election” means a formal decision making process by which a population chooses an individual to hold public office. The process may also be used in private organizations and in school as well. The outcome in all cases is the appointment of Leaders who sit in office for the duration of the term, primarily looking after the interests of those who have elected them.

Britto House Feast

 St. John de Britto also known as The Red Sand Saint was a Jesuit martyr in India. His feast is celebrated on 4th February every year.

A  Bookmark making competition on 27th January,2017 with the  theme “FOR GOD AND COUNTRY” started off the celebrations .

The Feast Day on 3rd Feb. 2017, began with a Eucharistic Celebration. Fr. Luke Rodrigues, was the main celebrant. His meaningful message to the boys was in keeping with the Britto house Motto .

Kids for Tigers

Children are the Future of Tomorrow. Keeping this in mind, Bittu Sahgal started “Kids for tigers” in 2000, to create awareness among students, to safeguard the natural habitat of Tigers and protect them.

Kids for Tigers conducts plays, competitions, lectures and organizes trips for  school children to the neighboring forests and wildlife sanctuaries to introduce them to a culture of biodiversity and habitat.

Republic Day 2017

The Staff and Students of St. Stanislaus High School celebrated the 68th Republic Day on 26th January 2017 on the school ground.

Grp. Capt P. Bakshi, a Fighter Pilot in the Air Force, presently working as a Group Commander in Mumbai-B group was the Chief Guest.

The programme commenced with the hoisting of the flag followed by the National Anthem and Pledge.

R.S.P. Road Awareness Programme

On Wednesday 11th January, 2017 a R.S.P. Road Awareness Programme was conducted by St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra (West) and the Bandra Traffic Police.  The Police Raath arrived in the school compound at 10.15 a.m. sharp to be welcomed by 60 students from Apostolic Carmel Convent, Bandra (West) , 60 students from Anjumam Islam School, Bandra (West) and more than 110 students from St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra (West) and also took an active part in the programme.

The 153rd  Annual Athletic Meet was held in the morning at 9.15 a.m, on Saturday, 10th December 2016.

Chief Guests, Mr. Uday & Mrs. Mrunali Chavan, parents of Master Chinmay Chavan, Sports Captain, and Mr. Stephen & Mrs. Maya Pereira, parents of the Assistant School Sports Captain, Master Marven Pereira, were welcomed with a Guard of Honour by the Scouts.

The feast of St Francis Xavier

The feast of St Francis Xavier was celebrated in school on Thursday, 3rd December 2016. The programme commenced with a prayer service, a short movie and skit based on the life of St.Francis Xavier.

After the programme in school, and as per tradition, Stanislites walked their way to Mount Mary’s Basilica for a Eucharistic celebration.

This pilgrimage is held annually to follow the vow the Bandraites had taken years ago, when Bandra was weighed down by plague.

Inter- House debate

The finals of the Inter-House Debate between the Loyola house and the Britto house, was held on 16th December 2016.

The motion debated on was ‘Inventions destroy Mankind.’

A panel of esteemed judges comprising of Mr. Prince Paul Shihn and Mr. Sunil Puri both from Bollywood industry and Mr. Asif Bhamla a politician were given the important task of judging the debate.

Tr. Ruby Vaz - Art in Heart

The Stanislaus Parivar bid farewell to Tr Ruby who for 36 years encouraged and brought out the creative best in the students. 

The programme started with a  prayer dance by our boys , followed by a reading from the Holy Bible and a short homily by Fr. Ambrose. Darryl Loyola, an ex student presented “You touched my life”. His drawing and art is a culmination of Tr. Ruby’s encouragement and artistic talent.
