Talent Search

It was a herculean task for the Talent Search Team – comprising of Tr. Mary, Tr. Lorraine, Tr. Michelle and Tr. Lisa to first of all short list the vocalists who were all indeed vying make it to the finals.

After sitting through and listening to our little talented singers, we finally cut down on 36 finalists. There were also very talented little instrumentalists too. The auditions were held on two different days for the vocalists and instrumentalists

Farewell Mr Simon Chisti

Come December and there is a charged atmosphere at school. Why you may ask! Christmas is approaching! All Stanislites are busy preparing their hearts and using their creative talents to decorate Christmas ornaments to be displayed both in the class and along the school corridors. The crib, too, is set up to welcome Baby Jesus.

As this is the season of giving, our boys donate generously, articles like pulses, Complan, Bournvita, and mats etc. for our Twin Mission School.

Farewell Batch of 2016-17

7th February, 2017 was a day of mixed feelings for the outgoing Std X batch of 2016-2017. The boys, looking dashing in their well tailored suits, both Western and Indian, were gathered in the school auditorium for a final good bye.

It was an incredible day hosted and organized by Std. IX students together with their teachers. The program began with a prayer service to invoke God’s blessings on the students followed by inspiring messages by the School Captain, Ojas Jadav, Manager, Fr. Frazer Mascarenhas and the Principal, Mrs Anna Correa.

Marathi Festival 2017

27th February is the birth anniversary of a great Marathi poet and author V.V.Shirvadkar. In his honour, every year, Marathi Divas is celebrated in Maharashtra. Our school also celebrates this festival every year.

This year, the celebrations of Marathi day started a week in advance by conducting various competitions in Marathi as well as the morning assemblies, prayers and announcements during the day were also in Marathi.

A filmy day for the film club

On the 20th January, 2017 the students of the film club assembled in the museum to witness a short seminar on “Guidance to the right path of Film direction, Acting and Advertising.” by Mr. Errol Marks, an Ex-Stanislite.

Mr. Errol Marks began his acting career whilst in school. His desire to be an actor prodded him to get a break in his college play. Grandparents’ Day Celebration

It was a beautiful morning when the boys of Std. I celebrated Grandparents’ Day on 18th February,2017

The function began with a prayer dance followed by other special performances put up by the kids. All the grandparents recalled their childhood days as they watched their little grandsons perform.

Our headmistress, Tr. Jennifer Pereira gave the vote of thanks. She also asked the grandparents to share their experiences of their time spent with their grandchildren.

Story Telling Competition

A story telling competition was held on the 13th of February, at St. Mary’s High School Goregoan, for the 1st and 2nd standard students Each student had to narrate a story within three minutes with expression and voice modulation. Mark Savio D’mello and Mark de Melo both from standard 2nd took part in this competition. The boys enthusiastically practiced and took part in this competition. St. John de Britto also known as The Red Sand Saint was a Jesuit martyr in India. His feast is celebrated on 4th February every year.

A Bookmark making competition on 27th January,2017 with the theme “FOR GOD AND COUNTRY” started off the celebrations .
