Britto House Celebrations

The feast of St. John de Britto, patron saint of the Britto House was celebrated on the 5th February 2016.

The Feast Mass was con-celebrated by Fr. Ambrose Machado and Fr. Errol Fernandes.  Fr. Ambrose stressed on learning the local language and whole hearted commitment  to the mission entrusted  to us, that was to be good students.

Republic Day 2016 Proud to be an Awakened Indian

22  schools from Mumbai came together to create a sense of fervor and patriotism among the students by putting up a Republic Day Parade at Bandstand, Bandra on the 26th January 2016.

The event was represented by personnel  from the Army, Navy and the Air-Force.

The Chief Guest for the morning was Vice-Admiral  R. Harikumar (Naval)

Kite flying day (Primary)

Makar Sankranti, the festival of kites and til chikkis was celebrated on the 14th of January. Makar Sankranti literally means the movement of the Sun into Capricorn. It is the festival of til-gul where sesame and jaggery laddoos or chikkis are distributed among all and they are generally accompanied by the saying “ til-gul ghya ani gud gud bola” which means “ Eat these sesame seeds and jaggery and speak sweet words.

Sports day is an important event in the life of every school. Sports itself has a vital  role to play in making a child physically as well as mentally sound.

St. Stanislaus Primary School Annual Athletic Meet was held on 19th Dec 2015 on the school ground. The meet began at 8.00am. Inter - School Carol Singing Competition (Primary)

The inter – school Carol Singing Competition for the Primary Section was held on 17th December 2015 . The participants from std I to IV put forth their enthralling performance. Eleven Schools took part in this competition held at St Elias High School.

The competition was judged  by very talented musicians.The occasion was graced and hosted by the esteem presence of the Principal of St Elias High School. The 152nd Sports Day broke with tradition and was held in the morning at 8 a.m, on Saturday, 12th December 2015.

Stanislite Scouts received the Chief Guest Mr. & Mrs. Rony Quadras, parents of the Sports Captain and Guests of Honour Mr. & Mrs. Shodhana Shetty, parents of the Assistant Sports Captain and the Management members with a Guard of Honour.

Celebration of Xavier House Feast

The feast celebrations of St. Francis Xavier was held on Tuesday, 8th December 2015 after the pilgrimage to the Mount Mary’s Basilica.

This celebration began with a prayer service and the lighting of the lamp by Fr. Jou, Tr. Anna, Xavier House Captain-Master Nahum Lobo, Trs. Sabita and Yvette Coutinho.

Annual pilgrimage to Mount Mary’s Basilica

As tradition goes, Stanislites walked their way to Mount Mary’s Basilica on Tuesday, 8th December 2015 for a Eucharistic celebration.

This pilgrimage is held annually to commemorate the “Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary’ and to follow the vow the Bandraites had taken years ago, when Bandra was weighed down by plague. We also celebrated the Feast of our great Jesuit Saint, Saint Francis Xavier. In addition, we began the Year of Mercy as declared by our Holy Father, Pope Francis.

Farewell Tr. Anita Advani

Stanislaus Parivar held a fitting farewell for dear Tr. Anita on completion of her 20 and a half years tenure at the School.

The PTA, Staff and students stole her heart through their dance performance, cards, colourful bouquets and a PowerPoint presentation.

A farewell speech was delivered by Fr. Errol the School Manager and Principal Anna Correa.

Brainvita 2015 - Inter House Quiz Competition

The Inter House Quiz Competition – Brainvita 2015, was held on 28th November 2015 in the school hall. It was organised by the following teachers: Mrs. Priya Divecha, Mrs. Lorna Bhantu, Mrs. Christine Pereira and Mr. Arnold Lobo. A special thank you to Mrs. Bindu Corriea for helping with the PowerPoint Presentation.
