English Elocution (Primary)

“From small beginnings come great things”.

The English Elocution Competition for the primary section was held in two categories. The first one was for standards 1 & 2 on 21st August and the other was for standards 3 & 4 on the 22nd August,2023. Prior to the finals there was an elimination round where all the students were invited to participate. This is done annually in an attempt to promote English speaking skills in terms of pronunciation, delivery, voice modulation and to deliver English in spoken form.

8 students from standards 1 & 2 each and 13 students from standards 3 & 4 were the finalists.

It was indeed astounding to see how beautifully the students had displayed confidence and were well poised. The parameters for the judgement was- choice of poem, clarity, expressions. All the participants performed exceptionally well, winning accolades. The competition gave a lot of confidence to the performers as well as to all the students present there.

The competition culminated with a few words of encouragement by the judges and headmistress.
