The H-Ward Interschool Lezim Competition under the H-Ward Sahshalaye Upakram 2026–27 was successfully conducted on Saturday, 22nd August 2026, at St. Stanislaus High School, Hill Road, Bandra (West), Mumbai. The competition was held for students from Std. V to X on the school basketball court under the guidance and coordination of their PT Master, Mr. Rostan D’Silva.
The programme commenced at 8:00 a.m. and concluded at 12:00 noon. A total of 22 schools participated in the competition. The students displayed remarkable enthusiasm, discipline, coordination and team spirit while performing the traditional Maharashtrian folk art of Lezim.
The performances were judged by Mr. Tukaram Shinde and Mrs. Nirmala Wad. Their expertise and careful evaluation ensured a fair and encouraging competition.
The event was attended by the H-Ward Co-Convenors, Mrs. Ophelia Barretto, Mrs. Rizwana Shaikh and Mrs. Yasmin Khan. Mrs. Ophelia Barretto also served as the observer for the competition. The presence and support of the dignitaries added significance to the event.

The performances reflected the students’ dedication, rhythmic coordination and respect for our rich cultural heritage. The spirit of healthy competition and teamwork was evident throughout the event.
The competition concluded successfully, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and appreciation for the efforts of all the participating schools, students, teachers, judges and organisers. The event was a grand success and served as a wonderful platform for promoting traditional Indian culture among the younger generation.
