The unexpected Saturday morning shower did not dampen the sporting spirit of our Principal, the Sports Director and the Peons who spared no effort in attending to the School grounds so that the event could be held.
The Annual Athletic Meet held on Saturday, 13th December 2014 began at 1.30 p.m. with Chief Guest Mr. Peter and Mrs. Loreena D’Souza, parents of Master Shawn D’Souza sports Captain and Mr. Murli Agniswar and Mrs. Vijaylakshmi Murli parents of the Assistant School Sports Captain- Master Sharan Murli.
The event began with the ceremonious MarchPast, races and relays for Junior, Inter and Senior Stanislites alongwith the NIOS students, not forgetting the Ex-students race, the Parents race, the Staff and the Peon’s race. The highlight of this Meet being the Kabadi Exhibition Match. The Tug-of-war which is the test of strength had the Kostka House bag the prize.
The MarchPast Trophy for this year was shared by Kostka and Loyola House. Just to name a few of the Championships, the Kostka Cup awarded for the WINNING HOUSE was bagged by the Kostka House, the All Round Sportsmen of the School Championship was awarded to Master Gerard Quadras, The Best Senior Athlete Championship was bagged by Master Shawn D’Souza and the Sports Scholarship awarded to Master Sharan Murli.
The Sports concluded with the Chief Guest declaring the Meet closed.
