The year 2020 appeared to have cornered us into living scared and closed lives, locked down, at home. The lockdown meant a new way of living, learning, and experiences. At St. Stanislaus High School, the attitude embedded and stirred in students and teachers the “Never Say Die” attitude and the Sports day at St. Stanislaus is an exemplary example of display of this attitude. This year amidst the lockdown, we at St. Stanislaus had our 157th Annual Athletic Meet on 19th December 2020. It was Virtual Sports Day. Our teacher, Ms Sabita, set the mood for the day by welcoming our Chief Guest Mr Earl and Mrs Rosetta Falcon, parents of our Sports Captain Master Ethan Falcon, and our Guest of Honour Mr Anil and Mrs Sunita Mathew, parents of our Asst. Sports Captain Branch Mathew. Also sharing the dais, was our school Manager Fr. Frazer, Principal Sr. Arockiammal, Vice Principal Fr. Felix, our Supervisor Tr. Charmaine, the Primary Headmistress Ms Jennifer, and the Principal of the IGCSE section Ms Anna Correa. The event began with the Sports Man’s prayer recited by our School Captain Aaron D’costa, followed by the Oath Ceremony taken by our Sports Captain Ethan Falcon on behalf of the students. Mr. Earl Falcon unfurled the school flag and declared the 157th Annual Athletic meet open. The events of the day comprised of Sports videos, where our boys are seen doing various exercises to lead a healthy life. Poster Making Competition to promote healthy living and an exclusive Sports Quiz were part of the programme The Virtual Athletic Meet came to an end with the Chief Guest sharing his thoughts with the boys and with a vote of thanks given by the Principal.
