The 159th Annual Athletic Meet was held on Wednesday, 7th December 2022. The stage all set, trophies all gleaming in the sun and the participants of the various races warming up to take on the challenge of winning and bringing their house colours to the forefront. This event was scheduled at 9:15 a.m. on our School grounds. It was a full-fledged Sports day event post COVID after a gap of 2 years! The Chief Guest for this event was Mr. Anand Jayswal and Mrs. Aruta Jayswal parents of our School Sports Captain Master Arjun Jayswal and Guest of Honour Mr. John D’Souza and Mrs. Anitha D’Souza parents of Assistant School Sports Captain Master Ashton D’Souza. We also had amidst us our school Manager Fr. Frazer Mascarenhas SJ, Mr Hycinth Cardoz Sports Director Ms Jennifer Pereira Headmistress(Primary), Ms Natasha Rodricks K.G Supervisor as Guests of Honour. The Chief Guest declared the Meet open after the recitation of the Sportsman’s Oath by the Sports Captain. The event began with the March Past, races and relays for Junior, Sub-junior, Inters and Senior Stanislites along with the NIOS students, not forgetting the Ex-students race, the Parents race, the Staff’s race, the Peon’s race. Tug-of -War was a real test of strength with the Kostka House reigning victorious. The March Past Trophy for this year and the Kostka Cup for the WINNING HOUSE were bagged by the Loyola House. Trophies were presented to the winners of the various races.
The All-Round Sportsmen of the School Championship was awarded to Master Jordan Desmond of the Britto House.
The Best Junior Athlete Championship and Junior Championship Trophy were bagged by Master Rudra Sarmalkar of Loyola House.
The Sub Junior Championship Trophy was awarded to Master Samuel Michael of Loyola House.
The Most Promising Athlete and St Stanislaus Individual Championship Cup for Seniors was awarded to Master Arjun Jayswal of Kostka House.
The Best Senior Athlete Championship and the Sports Scholarship was awarded to Master Shawn Dmello of Kostka House.
Sports Day came to a close with the handing over of the School emblem to the Sports Captain and a Vote of Thanks by the School Principal, Sr. Arockiammal Anthony.
