79th Independence Day Celebration

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great dignity and patriotic fervour at St. Stanislaus High School on Friday, 15th August 2025. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Lieutenant General Shailesh Tinaikar, SM, VSM (Retd.), former Force Commander, UNMISS.

The programme commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest, who was presented a Guard of Honour by the NCC cadets. The highlight of the morning was the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem and the recitation of the National Pledge. A short address by a student and a solemn one-minute silence in honour of the martyrs reminded all present of the sacrifices made for the country’s freedom.

The NCC cadets presented an impressive Bunker Busting Demonstration, displaying discipline, courage, and teamwork. The Chief Guest then reviewed the beautifully prepared theme-based flag area on world peace, appreciating the efforts of the students.

The celebration continued in the school hall with a cultural programme, where students expressed their patriotism through dance, song, and drama. The felicitation of the SSC toppers was a proud moment for the school community. In his inspiring address, the Chief Guest urged the students to uphold the values of service and integrity. The Principal, Sr. Arockia, proposed the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the contribution of the staff, students, and all who worked tirelessly to make the programme a success.

The celebration concluded with the dispersal of students at 10:00 a.m., leaving behind a sense of pride, unity, and renewed responsibility towards the nation. The day truly embodied the Stanislite spirit of patriotism and service.
