The annual prize distribution of the primary section went off with a bang on the 16th of September. Our programme began with a walk down memory lane, which brought to mind how action packed the past year was and also set the tone for our little ones to invite our guests to ‘celebrate good times’.
Fr. Gerard addressed our parents and stressed the importance of a daily attitude of gratitude ; ‘thank you ‘ being one of the three keys or for our tech savvy boys, passwords!
The boys received their prizes very proudly from our chief guests, Fr. Gerard Rodricks S. J., Fr. Andrew Rodrigues S. J., Mrs. Lynette Dias , Sr. Arockia Anthony as well as our headmistress Mrs. Jennifer Pereira and our craft teacher Mrs. Chitra Thadani.
We were enthralled by the talent of Simon Cardoz, Rylan Enthiado and Mark D’Mello , who took center stage at such a tender age and entertained us with their performances from different competitions.
Ace productions which trains our boys of std. 3 in speech and drama also trained a few of our students with a mime and poetry recitation.
Our finale, the circus themed play, which took weeks of practice to be put together, did not disappoint. It focused on ‘harmony’, the theme of the year, and while being a delight to watch, gave a valuable lesson to our boys and parents. Many a deft hand went into the making of costumes, painting of faces, etc; our team of parents did a splendid job! A special mention must be made of our creative backbone: the one and only Darryl Loyola! I think everyone will agree with me when I say ‘there’s no dazzling without Darryl’!
The team of teachers in charge : Mrs. Priya Divecha, Mr. Arnold Lobo, Ms. Cursina Valles, Ms. Lalita Nirmal , Ms. Lisa Pereira and Ms. Malaika Rodrigues along with Mr. Sagar Parab , were happy that their efforts bore success.
