English Elocution

“Poetry comes alive to me through recitation”

Here at St. Stanislaus, our little Stanislites are encouraged to participate, express themselves and build their confidence through recitation thus making poetry truly come alive.

The English Elocution Competition was held on 16th  September for the students of class 3 and 4 in the school auditorium and on 17th September in the museum for the students of class 1 and 2.

Those students who were interested were asked to select a poem as per their level. Eliminations were held on 9th September, first by the class teachers and then on 10th September by the teachers of the English Elocution Committee. Once the finalists were shortlisted, they prepared for the finale.

All the participants took a lot of trouble to learn and present their poems with clarity, expression, voice modulation and confidence making the morning truly enthralling.

The competition was judged by our very own Teachers – Mary, Rachel, Jennifer and Annette respectively. The judges praised the students for their hard work.

The winners and the participants received certificates.

The program ended with Tr. Raynah, our Headmistress giving the Vote of Thanks followed by the singing of the School Anthem.
