The English Elocution Competition and Choral Recitation was held on August 12th, 2022 in the school auditorium for students of Std VIII to X and Std V to VII respectively. The judges for the competitions were Mrs. Desirée Fernandes, St. Stanislaus International School teacher and Mr. Arnold Lobo, St. Stanislaus Primary School teacher.
Committee teachers that included Trs. Cindrella Koli, Casey, Steffa, Nikita and Nawal had a difficult job short listing students for the finals. After a series of rigorous eliminations two classes from each standard of V to VII and three students from each standard of VIII to X were selected for the finals. The selected boys recited their piece with a lot of clarity, diction, voice modulation, intonation and expression. The judges remarked at the excellence displayed and were beyond impressed with the participants. They had a tough time in deciding the winners as all the contestants were well prepared. Finally, after listening to the participants very patiently, the winners were announced.
Thereafter Mrs. Desirée Fernandes enlightened our students with her knowledge and wisdom as she spoke. The competition ended with the distribution of the certificates to all the participants and the winners. The vote of thanks was given by Principal Sr. Arockia to the judges, participants, and the Elocution committee. We hope that other children will be inspired and will give elocution a shot next year.
