Grandparent’s love is strong and deep,
Filled with memories to treasure and keep.
We at St. Stanislaus deeply appreciate the role and significance of our Grandparents in our lives and dedicate a day to celebrate these beautiful souls and show them how much they mean to us.
The teachers and boys of Standard 1 celebrated Grandparents Day this year on 11th February, 2023 in the Loyola Hall. Invitations were sent out to all Grandparents and the boys were all excited to perform for their Grandparents. The program began at 10 am with our Guard of Honour cheerfully welcoming the Grandparents who were just as excited to be there.
The boys then performed a prayer dance thanking God and invoking his blessings on their Grandparents. This was followed by a poem and songs both of which emphasized how much we appreciate our Grandparents and thanking them once again for all that they do for us. Last but not the least, the boys danced and wished the Grandparents, HAPPY GRANDPARENTS DAY. This was interspersed with fun spot prizes .
After the performances, the Grandparents were offered some snacks and coffee which was followed by a game of Housie.
It was a fun filled morning for all those present. A few grandparents expressed how they were touched on the whole. Truly a memorable day organised for our Grandparents, this wonderful bunch of people who certainly deserved every bit of it and more.
