Jesuit Visit 2025

Saturday, 26th July, was indeed a special day as Fr. John Ravi, SJ graced our school with a visit. Fr. John Ravi has been serving as the Conference Secretary for Jesuit School Education in South Asia from 2021. He is on a tour of the various Jesuit schools under his jurisdiction.

In preparation for his visit, the students had offered a mass, recited the Memorare, decades of the Rosary, the Divine Mercy chaplet, and personal prayers. The visit began with the school assembly conducted by the students of class 7D in the school hall under the guidance of Tr. Janice Fernandes and Tr. Dorris Patton. The topic of the assembly was Magis. The Jesuit value of Magis was beautifully expressed through a short skit depicting the various programmes conducted by St. Stanislaus High School to bring about holistic development of the students. A special song on Magis was also performed by the students of class 7D along with Joshyer Fernandes, Sandeep D’Souza, Jaden Khote and Dwayne D’silva from Std. 10, emphasising our school’s focus on social, intellectual, personal, and spiritual aspect to create men for others. Fr. Ravi then addressed all the students, urging them to keep challenging themselves, to read more and be inspired by famous personalities like APJ Abdul Kalam.

Fr. Ravi later met the Student Council members and the PTA reps separately asking for their feedback on the functioning of the institution. He concluded his visit with a short staff interaction reminding everyone to work hard to stay fit in mind and body and be open to learning new things, embracing technology and all it has to offer us.

We wish Fr. John Ravi continued success in all his endeavours and God’s grace and strength in his ministry.
