St Stanislaus Primary School celebrated Republic Day on 25th January, 2020 in the school hall. The programme was put up by the boys of Std. IV. The programme began at 9:15 am. Our Chief Guest was Tr. Gladys, an ex-teacher of our school. The programme began with a prayer service followed by a prayer dance.
The boys presented a musical skit that effectively depicted the history of India, her riches, the invasions, her struggle for independence and finally the need to have a constitution and how the constitution was adopted. At the end of the skit, the boys were shown a video on how Republic Day is celebrated in India.
Our Headmistress, Tr. Jennifer addressed the students by reinforcing the meaning of Republic Day and expressed her appreciation to the students and teachers of Std. IV for putting up a beautiful programme.
After Tr. Jennifer addressed the students, They were led to recite the preamble. The celebration ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
