Retirement of Our Beloved Watchman – Balroop Ji

In February 2026, our school organized a heartfelt retirement function to honour our beloved school and church watchman, Balroop Ji, who dedicated 35 long years of faithful service to our institution.

The programme was beautifully anchored by Sir Roger, who warmly welcomed everyone and highlighted Balroop Ji’s incredible journey. In a light-hearted manner, he mentioned that while teachers came and went, principals changed and students grew up, Balroop Ji remained constant—almost like the school walls themselves. His words brought smiles to everyone and reminded the audience of Balroop Ji’s long and faithful presence in the school.

Sir Roger also mentioned that when many of us had not even joined the school, Balroop Ji had already begun serving here with sincerity and dedication. His 35 years of service truly reflects nearly four decades of commitment and loyalty.

Sir Pathak was then invited to share a few memories. He fondly recalled the past and appreciated Balroop Ji’s hardworking nature and dedication to his duty.

The atmosphere then turned emotional when all teachers and masters presented a beautiful farewell song dedicated especially to him.

Teacher Charmaine presented a heartfelt card filled with warm wishes on behalf of the staff. Sir Titus gifted a sapling as a symbol of life, growth and new beginnings in his retired life. The PTA members honoured Balroop Ji with a bouquet as a token of appreciation. Sr. Arockia nd Tr. Raynah also presented him with an envelope on behalf of the staff as a small token of love and gratitude.

The celebration then continued with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony, making the occasion even more special and memorable for everyone present.

After this, Mrs. Shaheen said a few words, appreciating Balroop Ji for his sincerity and dedication towards his work.

Our Headmistress, Sr. Arockia, also expressed her heartfelt gratitude for his long and faithful service to both the school and the church. She appreciated his humble, down-to-earth nature and thanked him for always carrying out his duties with honesty and commitment.

Though Balroop Ji is now retiring from his duties, he will always remain a cherished part of our school family. His presence, dedication and simplicity will surely be missed. We wish him good health, happiness and a peaceful retired life ahead.
