Stanislites end the year 2021 on an optimistic note!

Every year St. Stanislaus High School holds an ‘Annual Day Celebration’ to recognise the individual achievements of its students as well as acknowledge all the school has achieved collectively during that year. Since the pandemic, the school hasn’t been able to have this annual celebration. But when life gives you lemons, you have to make lemonade! So, we decided to have a Cultural day rather than an annual prize day to commemorate how we have endured and emerged stronger during these challenging times. The programme was planned and executed by the Cultural Day Committee headed by Tr. Laxmi. It was streamed online in the individual classes on 22nd December,2021. The school theme for the year– ‘Peace and Trust build Humanity’ was beautifully incorporated in the entire programme. The comperes for the day – Jadyn Defigueredo and Lyle Vaz did a commendable job in taking everyone through the entire show. A serene and prayerful atmosphere was created by the lighting of the lamp and a prayer dance. The Guests of honour for the day were Mr. Phillip and Mrs. Jennifer Sequiera, parents of the current school captain, Jared Sequiera and Mr. Chandrasen and Mrs. Madhavi Tiwari, parents of Asst. School Captain, Ayush Tiwari. A nostalgic slideshow gave us glimpses of the year gone past and all that we achieved at St. Stanislaus. A short skit, using music and dance depicted how humanity has prevailed in these tough times and emerged stronger with us all showing ‘superhero’ potential! Tr. Pramila Gonsalves was felicitated during the programme for completing 25 years of exceptional service to the school and its students. The virtual event concluded with a vote of thanks by the school Principal, Sr. Arockia. The celebration that was put together with the efforts of the school students, staff and even ex-students successfully conveyed its message of peace and harmony. We hope it guides and leads us in the new year too as we continue our uphill battle against the Corona virus.
