Independence Day 2013 celebrations at St. Stanislaus

Our country’s Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic zeal in our School. All assembled at 7:20 a.m and we began with the tricolor being hoisted by our esteemed Chief Guest Dr. Ms. Marie Fernandes, Principal of St. Andrews College and the singing of the National Anthem. The boys, guests and teachers proceeded to the School Hall for the rest of the programme.

24 Stanislites along with some Staff and PTA members witnessed the launch of the ‘THE HINDU in School’ edition, Mumbai at the Rangswar, Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishtan Mumbai on Thursday, 8th August 2013.

THE HINDU in School edition guarantees accuracy and balanced news as strongly expressed by the editor Mr. Siddharth Varadarajan.

The Chief Guest at this launch was the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra- Shri Prithviraj Chavan.

Farewell "Pande Sir"

With a heavy heart we had to wish our respected Physical Training teacher Mr. Shiv Prakash Pande farewell on 31st July 2013 after 30 years of dedicated service. Mr. Pande was highly appreciated as he conducted the flag hoisting ceremonies at the Republic and Independence Day celebrations in the school with aplomb.

On 2nd July 2013 the Management, Staff and students bid farewell to our dear Tr. Maria Helena Borges. She retired after 18 years of dedicated service to our school. She not only taught English, Science and Geography but also moulded the boys to be ‘Men for Others’.The programme began with a prayer service by the PTA and students. 150 Years of Stanislaus School keeping the quest for Hockey Alive

The Fr.Donnelly Gym Grounds experienced the Sesquicentennial Interschool Hockey Tournament which began on Tuesday, 29th January 2013 with Fr. Vernon D’Cunha Provincial of the Bombay Jesuits inaugurating it.

A total of eight schools, from all over Mumbai, participated in three different categories i.e. Girls Under-14, Boys Under-12 and Under-14. There was a hockey exhibition match between the Stanislaus School Staff and the parents and also the ex-Stanislites and the select Mumbai team.

Stanislaus School spreads the message of National Integration and Harmony on our 64th Republic Day

The morning of 26th January 2013 saw 17 schools march to the beat of the many school bands on Hill Road commencing from Bandra Police Station to St. Stanislaus School. Other marchers included the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and the Police squad. The theme of the event being –‘HAND IN HAND …….Together We Can’

Stanislite athletes electrify the 119th MSSA Track

St.Stanislaus High School emerged champions at the 119th MSSA Annual Inter school Athletic Championship, which concluded on January 10, 2013 at the Goregaon Sports Club, amassing a record 148 points and bagging the coveted Tata Challenge Shield, awarded to the school with the highest total aggregate points in the Boys category. 149th Annual Sports Day Delight

Wednesday, 19th December was the 149th annual Sports Day at St. Stanislaus School. The stage all set, trophies all gleaming in the sun and the participants of the various races warming up to take on the challenge of winning and bringing their house colours to the forefront. This event was scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on our School grounds.
