The students of St. Stanislaus Primary, celebrated the Van Mohatsav week, from 1st to 7th July, with full zeal and enthusiasm through various class activities. The students were shown a video on what is Van Mahotsav, it’s importance and other related information. The teachers conducted interactive discussions in class, emphasising the importance of plants to the living world.
On another day the younger students of std. I & II were given themed pictures to colour, reinforcing awareness of nature and fostering creativity. While students of stds. III & IV designed unique artwork focused on methods to safeguard our environment (such as planting trees, recycling, and saving water).Through colouring and original art, children learnt about the importance of forest conservation, pollution control, and sustainable practices.
The students were shown a video on what would happen to us if there were no trees. This created a positive impact on the students.
The school actively encouraged all students to register and participate in the government’s official Van Mahotsav programme via the provided registration link. This emphasis aligned with the broader national initiative launched to promote tree planting and eco-awareness. The promotion of the government initiative not only motivated students to get involved but also instilled in them a sense of civic responsibility and commitment to environmental stewardship.
The school’s Vanmohotsav celebrations successfully combined in-class creativity with real-world environmental engagement. By blending art-based learning (through colouring and drawing) with active participation in the national programme, students gained both awareness and responsibility. This integrated approach helped nurture eco-consciousness and inspired them to contribute meaningfully to preserving our planet.
