Education to save lives

1st July is celebrated as Doctors’ Day and as a part of this celebration, a special talk was organised for boys of Std. 10 at St. Stanislaus High School. The speaker, Dr. Namrata Fernandes enlightened us about the various fields in medicine and the different specialties we could take up as doctors.

The session started with an introduction by Sir Pathak. Dr. Namrata then gave us in-depth information about the various fields we could choose if we wish to be a doctor. Detailed explanation from the subject choices to the courses that we would need to complete was imparted in this session. Dr. Namrata also made us aware of the different exams that we would need to pass.

The talk was detailed and interesting, while the power point and language were simple and appropriate for the students. Hence it was easy for everyone to understand.

Dr. Namrata also stressed the importance and need for good doctors in our country. She very clearly explained the pros and cons of being a doctor which will surely help us students make a well-informed decision.

This illuminating meeting ended with a vote of thanks proposed by our Principal Sr. Arockia.
