This day teaches us about the power of unity among us Indians. We celebrate this day with pride as we cherish the memories of our great leaders who sacrificed their lives for our country and its people.

Our little Stanislites were dressed up in traditional clothes and were very excited to be part of the Independence Day programme.

The celebrations began with a Prayer Service and lighting of the Samai by Tr Jennifer, Tr Lorraine, Tr Raynah, Tr Bindu and Roston

This was followed by the hymn- Bind us together and a prayer dance to the song Vande Mataram

The National symbols of India and the varied celebrations, parades and activities which are part of this important day were beautifully explained and depicted in a Power Point presentation. The students then sang a medley of patriotic songs.

Our country India has a large variety of different cultures and traditions, these were beautifully depicted by our students through the colours  of the rainbow with each colour representing different values and virtues

Finally, the boys performed a beautifully choreographed dance to the tune of the popular song- Indiawale

Tr. Jennifer proposed the vote of thanks.
