Patriotic Fervour displayed at St. Stanislaus

The students and teachers of St. Stanislaus High School celebrated the nation’s 75th Independence Day, with great enthusiasm and patriotism on 15th August 2021. The programme was organised in school but only a few members of the staff were present due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. But that didn’t stop the Stanislites from executing a grand and meaningful celebration.

The virtual programme started at 08.00 am sharp and was hosted by Master Calvin D’Souza, Asst. Sports Captain of the school. The programme started with a warm and grateful welcome to the chief guest, the school Principal, Sr. Arockiammal Anthony. After a short and inspiring introduction to her life, the Flag Hoisting ceremony took place followed by the National Anthem and Pledge. Speeches by the Asst. School Captain, Mst. Ayush Tiwari and Sr. Arockia filled the students’ hearts and souls with patriotism. Tr. Charmaine Pereira, the Supervisor gave the vote of thanks.

In preparation for the Independence Day celebration, different competitions were organised. The boys of Std. 5,6,7 had a Patriotic outfit competition and Std 8,9,10 had to imitate National leaders. The pictures and videoclips of the participants were added to the virtual programme which the rest of the school enjoyed.

The Independence Day Committee comprising of Sir Shreenath, Sir Titus, Tr. Sadaf and Tr. Vimal managed to make this a celebration to remember.
