Pligrimage and Xavier House Feast Celebration

Xavier house feast was celebrated on 3rd December 2022.  This day is celebrated in remembrance of St. Francis Xavier, the patron saint of missionaries. There was a special mass celebrated for std 10 boys at Mount Mary church, Bandra by Rev. Fr. Baptist. Catholic boys from std.  5 to 9 along with the entire staff of St. Stanislaus participated in this mass. Special blessings were showered on std 10 boys for their board exams.  After the mass ended, children were given snacks followed by a programme at the school. All the boys except std 10 returned to school from Mount Mary church.  The celebration continued with a programme in the school hall which focused on life of St. Francis Xavier. The programme began with a prayer and a prayer dance followed by a video on life of St. Francis Xavier and a skit based on the motto of the Xavier house: Character in excellence. After the skit followed the quiz competition based on the video seen and based on a document sent to the students on life of St. Francis Xavier. The last part of the programme was the prize distribution of the chart competition that was held in the earlier week and for the winners of the quiz competition.  Sr. Arockia, Tr. Charmaine and Tr. Sabita were asked to give away the prizes. Sr. Arockia then gave the vote of thanks and the programme ended with the school anthem. After the programme in the school there was a throwball match between Teachers v/s students of Xavier house in which the teachers won the match. It was indeed a genuinely nice day for all of us.
