Felicitation of SSC Toppers

S tStanislaus High School felicitated the SSC Toppers for the academic year 2023 – 2024 on 15th August with great enthusiasm. The event began with the hoisting of the national flag by our SSC topper, Samuel Pereira, followed by the singing of the national anthem, which resonated with pride and unity and a vibrant cultural programme.

INTER RELIGIOUS PRAYER SERVICE

The day started off with our comperes, Fauzan Khan and Jason D’Souza, welcoming the students and dignitaries. The topic for the prayer service was “Peace, Harmony and Unity”. Then, one boy from each faith was called upon stage to light the lamp. There was Joshyer Fernandes from the Catholic Faith, Ahmed Junani from the Muslim Faith, Sarthak Pawar from Buddhism faith, Dalveer Singh from Sikh faith and Shlok Dhabi from Hinduism faith. Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola 2024

The Feast of St. Ignatius was celebrated on the 30 th of July 2024 in the Primary section this year.

The boys were shown a video on the life of St. Ignatius and after discussing his life, the children were given an activity that they were encouraged to complete neatly. The students of standards 1 and 2 coloured a picture/sketch of St. Ignatius while those of standards 3 and 4 did an activity on generosity after reciting the prayer for generosity. 31st July is considered an important day for everyone at St. Stanislaus as it is the feast day of St. Ignatius of Loyola who is the founder of the society of Jesus. To mark this day every year we at St. Stanislaus celebrate this day with great enthusiasm.

*78th Independence Day Celebrations by St. Stanislaus Scouts*

The Scouts of St. Stanislaus proudly celebrated the 78th Independence Day with a series of patriotic activities.

The celebrations began with an *All Faith Prayer Service*, on 14th August, where scouts came together to pray for the nation’s unity and prosperity.

The next morning, at 6:00 AM, a *Cycle Rally* was organized. Scouts cycled through the neighborhood, carrying flags and charts to spread awareness about the significance of Independence Day.

“A Showcase of Talent: English Elocution and Choral Recitation 2024-25”

On Saturday, July 27th, the school auditorium buzzed with excitement as participants from Std VIII to X gathered for the English Elocution Competition, while those from Std V to VII prepared for the Choral Recitation. The event was judged by two familiar faces: Mrs. Margaret Pereira, a former English teacher at St. Stanislaus High School, and Mrs. Christine Pereira, who currently teaches at St. Stanislaus Primary School.

Inter- school competition ‘Kids for Tigers’

Nature Club boys of St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra (West) participated in an inter- school competition ‘Kids for Tigers’ held at NCPA, Nariman Point on 19th July, 2024.

On June 21st, 2024, World Yoga Day was celebrated in the school hall at 2:30 p.m. during the RSP, SCOUT, and NCC periods, with 9th grade students participating. Sir Rakesh Pathak conducted the yoga session for the students. The event was well-organized, and the students participated enthusiastically. Eye checkup for school students was organized on 10th July and 16th July 2024 from std 5th to 9th by Eye specialist Dr. Janaki Kodakani. She explained the students about abnormal vision and various other problems related to eye health. She also advised the students facing eye problem to meet their Eye doctor.
