Cyber security programme

SSHS along with 25 other school of H ward participated in a cyber awareness programme conducted by NGO, Responsible Netism. The programme spanned 3 months and included workshops for teachers, parents and students. Topics covered were online fraud, hacking of accounts, secure passwords, safe sites, online gaming, online pornography, use of social media and how to be cyber alert.  The students were given diaries to record their internet usage. The programme ended with a grand closing ceremony at Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir where each participating school received an award.Learn More

Plant Detectives

As part of the SSCP Science module the students are learning to become plant detectives.  Know your plants, grow your plants is the theme.  Students study the venation of the leaves, the kind of flowers, the stem type and many other interesting details of plants.  They also grow plants at home and record their observations.Learn More

Safety Awareness Workshop

A pillion rider safety awareness programme for parents and students was held on October 12th.  Over a hundred parents who bring their children to school on two wheelers attended the awareness workshop after which each child was gifted a helmet.Learn More

Community service camp at Vajreshwari

Junior Red Cross organised a community service camp at Vajreshwari an Adivasi area on 26th and 27th September under the caring guidance of Sir Rakesh Pathak and Sir Rostan D’silva.  32 students participated in it. The students visited an Adivasi village and donated soap, clothes, biscuits among other things. They visited the village hospital and interacted with doctors and patients. A Trip to Remember – St Xavier’s School, Manmad

A three days trip to Manmad was organized by our school for the jubilee celebrations of our twin school – St Xavier’s High School, Manmad. There were in all 27 boys and 3 teachers,  We had a wonderful time interacting with the boys of this Jesuit school and visiting all the historic places nearby like the Infant Jesus shrine, the Ajanta Caves, the Jain Temple, the Daulatabad Fort, Bibi ka Makbara.and the Paithani silk making industry.Learn More

English Elocution Competition

“Poetry is when an emotion has found it’s thought and the thought has found words.” –Robert Frost.

This quote  is so true as the students  of St.Stanislaus High School  displayed their talent in poetry in an Elocution Competition held in school. Std. III and IV had the competition on  1st October and Std. I and II had their competition on 3rd October, 2018. Champs St. Stanislaus clinch double crowns

Reigning Champions St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra clinched a grand double as they retained the Boys’ Under-14 and Under-17 titles in the DSO organized Inter-Schools Hockey Championship (Mumbai Division).

In a tense and exciting Under-14 final, St. Stanislaus got the better of Don Bosco, Matunga 5-3 via the tie-breaker, after the match finished in a goalless stalemate, at the MHAL-Mahindra Stadium, Churchgate. Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations

In keeping with the words of the Mahatma “Be the change you want to see in the world”, the scouts, NCC and RSP squadrons of the school took a prabhat pheri through the bylanes of Bandra to mark Gandhi Jayanti.  Our young Stanislites carried banners proclaiming messages exhorting citizens to Care for the environment and to keep their neighbourhood litter free.  Armed with brooms the boys swept areas of Bandra market and Hill Road.

Let's Read Carnival!!!

On the 4th of October, St Stanislaus High School was the hosts for the Let’s Read Carnival organised by the NGO, United Way.  The Carnival was a special treat for 1300 children from Municipal schools across Mumbai who sat down for reading and storytelling sessions and were each gifted a bag with books.  Our Stanislites as part of their SSCP social outreach actively participated and assisted the organisers.  It was a day well spent for a worthy cause – to promote the love of reading.Learn More

Appreciation Day - Primary

This World's God's creation, a place full of wonder and beauty To care for and preserve it, is each one's duty, So we at St Stanislaus, this message did impart, Through song, dance, poetry, drama and art.

The message of Care for Creation which is the theme for the year at St. Stanislaus was beautifully elaborated upon at the Appreciation Day of the Primary Section in the school hall on the 8th of September.  The program began with a prayer thanking God for the year gone by and invoking his blessings on one and all.
