Farewells & Fresh Starts: A Celebration of Leadership

"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end." — Seneca

The entire school community of St Stanislaus, including the SSC, Pre-primary and IGCSE (teaching and non-teaching) staff, gathered together on 30th June, 2026 in the school auditorium to bid adieu to our outgoing School Manager, Rev. Fr. Luke Rodrigues SJ, and to welcome our new School Manager, Rev. Fr. Andrew Rodrigues SJ.

It was a two-fold celebration to thank Fr. Luke for the years of service, guidance and dedication we have received from him, and to welcome back Fr. Andrew who had last served as Vice- Principal of St. Stanislaus High School in 2017. The programme began with a prayer service to invoke God’s presence and grace on the entire gathering.

Mr. Montwyn D’Costa, the Principal of the IGCSE section gave a heartfelt tribute to Fr. Luke followed by a token of the staff’s appreciation in the form of a card, plant and gift. Later everyone joined in singing a fun song titled, ‘Bandra Boy’ written in honour of Fr. Luke.

Tr. Raynah Lemos, Headmistress of the Primary section (SSC) gave the welcome address and offered a warm welcome to Fr. Andrew who takes on the role of Manager from Fr. Luke. Fr. Andrew too was felicitated with a card, plant and gift and then serenaded with a lovely song welcoming him back to St. Stanislaus.

Both Fr. Luke and Fr. Andrew expressed their gratitude for the celebration organised and left everyone with beautiful mementos of their kind words and inspiring thoughts. Sr. Arockia then expressed the vote of thanks and the programme concluded on a sweet note with the cutting of the cake. The celebration, though a bittersweet one, evoked positivity and hopefulness among all attending it.
